LILCHICK
LILCHICK, a 20-year-old composer prodigy, has quickly established himself as an essential artist of the emerging rap scene.
Influenced by multiple artists' backgrounds, from acoustic indie pop folk to hip hop and electronic tracks, he draws his inspiration from artists like Justin Vernon of Bon Iver to Maxime Le Forestier. He cleverly merges all these different genres in his compositions, creating a unique musical signature. As a talented beatmaker, producer, and music director, he follows artists all along their process, and it's with the same tightness that, from studio to stage, he supports Yvnnis and Nes on their live tours as DJ.
It was in the musical environment of his family, notably through his father, a teacher and musician, that CHICK discovered the home studio environment, recording musicians. At this time, he began producing one track per day as a habit he has never dismissed. These were his first steps towards what would become his job. Nestling in the heart of rapeseed fields an hour from Reims, he proved that talent can blossom anywhere without the need for the Parisian spotlight.
Since then, LILCHICK has joined the rise of artists like Yvnnis, Nes, or Mairo thanks to his artistic vision, quickly establishing a reputation as a multi-talented artist capable of skillfully blending various genres and sub-genres. He now boasts several prestigious placements (such as Madlib and Westside Gunn, Moj& Sboy, and Caballero & JeanJass). And this is just the beginning of his promising journey.
